Interview with Now, Now!

Meet Indie Pop sensation Now, Now! The Minneapolis based band has recently released their second full-length titled “Threads”. Now, Now isn’t just any ordinary band. This trio focuses on writing about the nature of our existence, perception of the world around us, and relationships shared with others both physically and emotionally (see their Facebook biography for more). Their music is definitely something you can chill out to. I would definitely recommend checking it out! As a matter of fact, Cacie, vocalist of the band, is here to tell us a little bit more about the album!

Alright, to start things off, would you like to introduce yourself to the readers?

-Hi, my name is Cacie. I play in a band called Now, Now.

Also, congratulations on the new album, Threads, I’ve listened to it and it’s awesome! Would you say there is a common theme that most of the songs on this album follow?

-Thank you! I think a main theme for me with this album is patterns. To me there is a kind of feeling of reaching throughout it as well.

My favorite song off the album has to be Thread, do you have a favorite song you’ve recorded?

-Oh man. I am happy with different songs for different reasons. I am really proud of Thread. I think my favorite is Colony.

Now when it comes to lyrics, I think my favorite line has to be from the song “But I do” where you say “I am what you need when you can’t find it somewhere else. I am what you want when you don’t have anything else.” do you have any favorite lyrics that you’ve written off the albu

-That line in But I Do will always hits hard for me. It always feels relevant in some way. Hmmmm this is also tricky. I think I would have to say the lyrics for Shifting are what I am most proud of. It is a B-side from this album so hopefully that still counts.
So I know that you’ve toured with the Naked and Famous, what’s it like to be on tour with them?

-Touring with the Naked and Famous was one of the best experiences of my life. I love them so much as people and playing with them every night was such a privilege. Their whole crew was amazing. I can’t put into words how much I love them.
Now for your future music, any plans for any new music yet? Or how about any collaborations?

-I have no clue. We haven’t had any time to think about the next album yet. But I am really excited to write for it when the time comes. I can’t really imagine any collaborations in the future, but who knows.

& Finally, to wrap things up is there any thing you would like to tell your fans and listeners?

-To those of you who have stuck with us these past few years, thank you for everything you’ve done and for supporting us all this time. We love you and wouldn’t be here without you. And to new listeners, thank you for giving us a chance. To everyone, come hang out with us at shows! We love to meet all of you.
